Miller Receives CHS Award for Distinguished Service


Vic Miller, ATC

Iowa State University’s College of Human Sciences has selected Vic Miller to receive the Professional & Scientific Staff Distinguished Service in Administration Award. This CHS award is given to one P&S staff member each year that has demonstrated innovative, creative or original ways to accomplish job responsibilities and effect positive change, has established a pattern of reliability and responsibility in performing job duties, has made an effort toward continual personal and professional development, has exhibited service to their department or unit, the College of Human Sciences, and Iowa State University, fosters a spirit of cooperation and has strong interpersonal relationships with fellow employees, and exhibits potential for future contributions to their department or unit, the College of Human Sciences, Iowa State University and/or the community.

Vic has served as an Assistant Director of Athletic Training since his hiring in January of 2002. Vic is also the head athletic trainer for the Iowa State Men’s Basketball program in addition to his duties as a lecturer and the Clinical Coordinator for the undergraduate athletic training program housed in the department of Kinesiology.

One of Vic’s colleagues, Mary Meier said “We are very proud and happy for Vic to receive this award. Vic does so much for our athletic training program, the students, and program alumni and is an integral part of the success of the program and we are happy he has received recognition from the University for his contributions.”
